Coupon Crazed!

My friend Shannon introduced me to the Coupon Craze and now I am totally addicted. Just ask my husband! I find it very rewarding to be able to find great deals for free or next to nothing.

This was my first week of couponing the new way. Here is a list of what I bought and how much I spent and saved. I was pretty proud of my first accomplishment.

1 gallon of milk, 1 candy bar, 1 Lindt chocolate, 4 boxes Bayer Aspirin Quick Release Crystals 4 pk, 2 Rembrandt toothpaste 2.6 oz., 2 Rembrandt mouthwash 16 oz., 9 Campbell's Tomato Soup, 5 Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup, 1 Crest Toothpaste 6.4oz, 6 Purell Hand Sanitizer 1 oz., 2 Target Brand Baby Wash 15oz. 4 Nivea Body Wash 15 oz., 2 Tresemme 24 Hour Hair Mousse, 7 ROC Age Diminishing Facial Cleanser, 1 Aveeno Positively Ageless Daily Moisturizer, 2 Aveeno Clear Complextion Cleansing Bars, 2 Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bars, 2 Boxes Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, 1 Quaker Granola Bites Snack Pack

Total spent out of pocket $45.06
Total saved $167.37
Bucks back for next purchases $22.50

This is the most I have spent since I started. I have been at it for almost 2 months now and am getting the system down pretty well now. The first couple of weeks are time consuming because you are on the learning curve. Your first week will be the most expensive because you haven't built up what I call Bucks Back. Different stores call them different things (CVS = Extra Care Bucks, Walgreens = Register Rewards).

I have quite the stock pile going now and also a donation box. You will learn if you do this you can actually make money on buying items that you wouldn't normally use. That is what my donation box is for. I have added buttons on the right side of my blog of useful sites. I suggest with just starting with http://www.dealseekingmom.com/ and then branching out after you get the hang of it. I still mainly use her website to find the most updated best deals.

http://www.couponmom.com/ has a free e-book that breaks it down for you. It is a little overwhelming at first but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it.

My friend has a list of suggestions that I used to get started that are very detailed. Instead of paraphrasing what she wrote click her to read it. click here

If I can be of any help, email me or write in the comments and I will get back to you.

Happy Couponing!!!!
