Merry Christmas!

The stockings all hung by the chimney with care.It looks like St. Nicholas has been here!Christmas morning before the kids woke up.An overview from the loftAnother view from the loftMaKayla was the first one up this morning. She ran up the stairs and couldn't wait for us to get out of bed. Before we opened stocking or presents we reflected on what the true meaning of the day is really about: JESUS! We sang Happy Birthday to our Saviour and talked about his birth. Throughout the day we do different things to reflect back on Jesus so the kids don't get caught up in all the presents and forgot about the true meaning.MaKayla was anxious to get her stocking down!Noah needed a little help with his.No help was needed with unwrapping this year!MaKayla loved her bear from her brother. Noah did an awesome job!MaKayla gave Noah a Finn McMissle talking car. She picked it out all by herself. Noah loved it! MaKayla was excited to open her present from Santa.Noah got the Hot Wheels Wall Tracks from Santa that he has been wanting. MaKayla got an "Easy Bakin Oven" from Santa. This was #1 on her list this year.
MaKayla also got a Doodle Bear from Santa.Noah got the "Fin McMissle Track" from Santa which was #1 on his list this year. Not sure where he came up with this name but it can be very frustrating when you have no clue what they are talking about. He is in tears and you are pointing to something in a toy catalog only to get the 20th NO MOM THAT IS NOT IT! MaKayla loves Lalaloopsy dolls and now she has a sister to her bigger doll.MaKayla gave me a Zelda calendar. She picked it out all by herself and was very proud of it!I always make a birthday cake to celebrate Jesus' birthday. MaKayla asked me if she could make the cake in her "Easy Bakin Oven" for Jesus. How could I say no? She started by making cookies first. In to the oven they go.MaKayla's first batch of cookies.Uncle Mike sent presents to the kids. Noah got a remote control truck, cool! Thanks Uncle Mike!MaKayla got a really cool Crayola Color Explosion board. Thank you Uncle Mike! We love & miss you!Noah and Daddy are racing his new two remote control cars. MaKayla decided that one of her Lalaloopsy sisters needed to go for a ride.MaKayla picked out a tie for her Daddy all on her own. We were in Macy's and she ran over and picked it up and said, "I have to get this for Daddy, he will love it." Love it he did!We ened up getting a family present a Wii. The kids as well as Daddy had a blast playing it.It may just be the four of us but I still make a full Christmas dinner. That is one of my favorite parts of Christmas is the dinner and it is so easy to make. Ham (okay I don't eat the ham), green bean casserole, cheesy potatoes, pralines sweet potatoes, cranberries, croissants and wine. MaKayla made red velvet cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles for Jesus.Dessert complete!Noah gave Daddy a new Harley shirt with an Eagle on it. He picked it out all by himself. MaKayla also picked out new slippers for Daddy since his were falling apart.Big hugs for his princess!MaKayla decorated Daddy's boxMaKayla also decided that it was time that Daddy started to wear pajama's.
