Noah's Rainbow!

August 5, 2008 – Noah is getting so strong! He is still wobbly but he has been holding his head up for awhile now.
August 5, 2008 – I think we have another thumb sucker in our near future. That is fine by me at least you always know where the thumbs are!
August 4, 2008 – We are trying to figure out the similarities in Noah’s features. I know he looks just like his Dad but a Mom can hope!
August 4, 2008 – Daddy’s Minnie Me
August 4, 2008 – Noah’s rainbow! It had rained hard most of the day and finally stopped right after dinner when a beautiful rainbow appeared. Of course I had to jump at the opportunity to take a picture of Noah with the rainbow.
Another picture of Noah and the rainbow!
July 30, 2008 – My little boy is getting bigger by the day. I wish I could keep him small for awhile.

July 27, 2008 – We went to my sister Jen’s for my nephew Luke’s 13th Birthday Party! Happy Birthday Luke!!! MaKayla found this Harley Davidson bike helmet in their garage that was left over from a garage sale that they had. Well, once she found it the helmet didn’t come off and now it is ours.
July 27, 2008 - Big Sister MaKayla is helping to give Noah a bottle.
July 26th, 2008 - My Grandpa and Elaine came to visit.

A Day at the Zoo!

July 25th, 2008
Andy took a day off of work and we went to the Madison Zoo. It is a free zoo and the perfect size for children. I was really impressed with everything that the zoo had to offer including a beach. We all had a blast!
What a ham, she is saying "cheese"
MaKayla had so much fun feeding the goats. She would giggle when they nibbled on her fingers.
MaKayla found a tree that was her size to climb. She cried when we made her get out of it.
I just love this picture of her in the tree!
What a little monkey!
MaKayla LOVED the carousal! She rode all four times on the rhino. It was so funny; she would walk all around it until she found her favorite animal.
After lunch, we spent some time at the beach. MaKayla was fearless in the water which is kind of scary!

MaKayla loves to help Daddy work on the Challenger. She is the only one who is allowed to help or even touch his car =).

July 14, 2008
Noah is really filling out and putting on some weight. He loves to eat! He also loves his binky. He finally took to one at 7 weeks old after trying four different types. Thank goodness for binkies!
July 16, 2008
MaKayla loves to help me in the kitchen especially if I am making cookies. Don’t worry; I don’t let her near the stove. She just likes to play with the oven mitts.
July 19th, 2008
Noah’s 2 month check up. He is doing really well and weighed in at 11 pounds. Poor little guy had to get four shots! It hurt me just as much as it hurt him. You can see his little Band-Aids on his legs.

More 4th of July Weekend Fun!

July 6th, 2008
On our way to a birthday party we went through Dixon and the annual 4th of July parade was just beginning. We decided to be fashionably late to the party and enjoy the parade. MaKayla caught on to the candy catching pretty fast and started filling up Daddy’s pocket with sweet goodies.
Here is a picture of the three of us. Noah was sleeping in the stroller and I didn’t want to wake him for the picture.
MaKayla enjoying her first sucker. I didn’t enjoy the sticky mess but oh well!
Dan with Noah
We went to our friends Dan and Shelly to celebrate their daughter Taylor’s first Birthday. It was nice to see so many friends! Here is a picture of Andy with a couple of his racing buddies Dan and Pat with Noah and MaKayla
MaKayla saw the big kids riding the go cart and wanted to try it out for herself. She crawled in and put on the helmet. It was so funny because the helmet was so heavy she couldn’t hold up her head. She loved riding while Daddy drove.
After riding while Daddy drove, MaKayla wanted her hand at driving. She did a very good job for being so young. Of course, Daddy was beaming from ear to ear.
After the birthday party, we went to the Petunia Festival in my hometown of Dixon, IL. MaKayla loved it! Here she is having her first taste of cotton candy.
MaKayla feeding Daddy a handful of cotton candy. Can you say sticky fingers?
MaKayla on Daddy’s shoulders so she can get a good view of the sights.
MaKayla was immediately drawn to the ducky game. She loved picking out her duck so much that he wanted to keep him. She didn’t care about the prize. The man running the game tried to give her a ducky prize but she wanted the ducky she picked out. With a little persuasion, we made the switch.
MaKayla on the elephant ride
MaKayla’s favorite ride was the cars, which made Daddy quite proud. I think she ended up going on them four times.
Daddy and MaKayla on the balloon ride
MaKayla and I on the carousal. For not having a nap and not getting home until 10:15pm, MaKayla did really well. She was really tired the next day and didn’t get up until 9:30am.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! Thank you to all of the men and woman who fight everyday for our independence! Andy stained the deck then we went to our neighbors for a 4th of July party. MaKayla running with the basketball, she hasn’t quite got the concept of dribbling yet.
MaKayla loved being in the pool with Daddy.
Here she is lounging on a raft. What a tough life!
I had to post this picture because I thought it was so funny. MaKayla put on a pair of water goggles and then picked up a soccer ball. Silly girl!
