Here We Go Again On Bed Rest!

February 7th, I had my 22 week appointment and was put on complete bed rest. Dr. Manas also ordered a terbtaline pump to be put in my leg which will give me continuous medicine to help control the contractions. My cervix went from 3.3 to 1.23 in just two weeks and I have been contracting quite a bit. So it looks like we are in for another long road of bed rest. This time, I actually have to stay in bed and not on the recliner in the living room. I am allowed to get up to go to the bathroom and shower. I can also sit in the recliner for my meals but that is it. Matria (healthcare agency for high risk pregnancies) comes to my house once a week to give me a 17P shot (another med to help with contractions) and monitor the pump, baby and me. I also have a home monitoring systems that monitors the contractions. The results are sent over the phone line to Matria. Matria calls me with the results several times a day and give me orders like give your self an addition dose of meds, drink more water, lay still for one hour and remonitor, etc. It is a wonderful agency and the nurses are great! My nurse who visits me every week is Mary Beth. She drives a 1 ½ hours just for my visit. She is a God Sent!

Andy has jumped in full force as the primary care taker of MaKayla and me. He is doing a wonderful job. I did manager to freeze 20 large meals before going on bed rest to help him out a little. I am sure they won’t last long but at least it helps some! It isn’t easy for him to take care of two demanding women =).

February 10, 2008 Mommy reading books to MaKayla in bed. I feel so bad she doesn’t understand why Mommy can’t get out of bed and play with her. She comes up to the bed and lifts her little arms up to me and cries. It just breaks my heart!

February 9, 2008 Daddy and MaKayla playing. Andy wanted to show me how much they looked like each other. I still think she has my eyes and lips.

Grow Baby Grow!

Okay, I never truly announced that I am pregnant on here yet. Sorry about that, I have just been so busy lately. As many of you know that my pregnancies are considered very high risk so Andy and I kept our little secret until we made it well past the first trimester. Okay, maybe even a little beyond. We just wanted to play it safe. I have been so busy trying to get everything organized for our very long road of bedrest that I just have not made it on here lately. So here are lots of belly shots to get you all caught up. Grow baby grow! We have decided not to find out the gender with this pregnancy. It was so much fun not knowing with MaKayla until we delivered. So, you will have to make your guess if you think I am carrying a BOY or a GIRL. Make a comment with your guess and I will tally up and post the results later.

All Bundled Up!

January 29, 2008
It has been a cold and very snowy winter so far. MaKayla just loves to get all bundled up and go play outside. Even when we are inside she likes to wear her hat and mittens. I usually put them up so that I am not hunting for a lost mitten at the last minute but on this day after work she found them. She brought them over to me and wanted me to put them on her which I did. I wasn’t able to get them off of her until bed time. Silly girl! What a cute little snow angel!MaKayla loves Daddy to throw her in the air. I am always scared she is going to hit the ceiling. I wish you could hear her laughing while I took this picture.

Nikki's Your Day Has Finally Arrived!

January 19, 2008
My friend Nikki met her soul mate. Jon is a wonderful sweet Godly man and they are perfect for each other. I was so honored to stand up in their wedding and witness a winter wonderland God spiritual ceremony! I am so happy for Nikki. For those of you who know her you know how long she waited for the perfect husband. Well, God has answered her prayers and her dreams have finally come true. It is just so awesome to see her so happy. Jon and Nikki, best wishes for many, many, many years of happiness!

What a beautiful bride! The church was draped in snowflakes, white lights and snow. It was truly a winter wonderland.

Let it SNOW Up North!!!

December 27-31, 2007
We went Up North after Christmas to the Masterson cabin and we had a blast. This has been one of the best years for snow! Yeah, it is about time! Andy rented a snowmobile and put on quite a few miles with the men. Everyone went to Tomahawk to the sledding hill. I was a little nervous about MaKayla getting too cold. It turns out that I had nothing to worry about. I had to take her to the car kicking and screaming to get warmed up. She loves the outdoors and all the snow. I have a feeling she is going to be adventurous! She even liked going down the big sled hill.

Daddy & MaKayla enjoying the snow!

MaKayla loved sledding. Here is Daddy and MaKayla eating a snowball, yummy!

I just love those little red cheeks! Mommy & MaKayla

The Masterson, Morris, Manning & Wilmart Tyna family. That is a mouth full! We all went out to dinner at the W
Andy put MaKayla on Papa's snowmobile. I think she has a bit of growing to do before her first trail ride. MaKayla loved Nana's candles and just couldn't leave them alone.

Papa & MaKayla loving the outdoors. MaKayla and "Nitro the fox". Papa kept telling her it was a puppy. MaKayla kept going up to Nitro petting and kissing him.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2007
This year was so much fun with MaKayla. She loved the lights, the paper and of course unwrapping hers and everyone else’s presents. Andy and I read her the Christmas story from her little bible on Christmas morning and spent the whole morning just as a family. We started a new tradition this year and decided that we are going to stay home on Christmas day and not run around to everyone’s house. So Christmas was done a little differently this year. My Mom and family came up the weekend before Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to visit my Grandpa and Elaine and then that evening we went to my Dad and Bonnie’s. Christmas morning was at home and was heavenly! Christmas afternoon the Morris family came over to celebrate. I ended up hosting two different Christmas dinners but we enjoyed Christmas and were able to reflect on the true meaning and spend lots of time starting our own traditions. One big happy family!
Santa brought MaKayla ball pit for Christmas.
