Log Siding Stage 1

August 21, 2010 - Andy started a big task of preserving our log siding. The first step is cleaning it. There is a special solution that he has to spray on to kill the black mold and algae. Then he has to power wash to clean it and remove any loose stain. This is just stage 1. I will keep you updated as he continues on this project. This will take him all the way in to fall and we home to complete it before it gets too cold!August 22, 2010 - Andy is hard at work!
While Daddy was working we were playing. I had to find a way to keep the kids out of his way. MaKayla is a beautiful snowflake princess!

Wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Just a thought...the log cabin homes you would find on sale anywhere in the country these days are no longer just a place to hang your hat when you go fishing or hunting in the countryside. Whatever be the existing style or size of your home, it can be given log siding to look just like a log structure. Log siding is made of natural wood, which has a timeless beauty and comes in many colors and textures.

It is interesting to know that in adding log cabin siding to the exterior of your home, you are bolstering the strength not only by about a half a foot, give or take a couple of inches, of sturdy logs, but depending upon the wood you use - say, cedar for instance - you're also adding insect resistance to your home as well.

Wow! Great for sharing those pictures. Using log siding renders a traditional and warm 'log cabin' look to your building. Whatever be the existing style or size of your home, it can be given log siding to look just like a log structure.
