Birthday toys!

September 21, 2008 - MaKayla took her scooter for a little ride. She did exceptionally well for her first time!
September 21, 2008 – MaKayla loves her new bike. She hasn’t figured out how to peddle forward yet but she does know how to peddle backwards for the break. That’s okay, Daddy pulls her on the bike and that is just as fun for now. He took her around the block and she felt like such a big girl!
September 21, 2008 - Noah is growing so fast! He is now laughing out loud. He is very ticklish and really starts laughing hard, it is cute!
September 21, 2008 - MaKayla playing with her My Little Ponies. It is fun to watch her pretend play. She was taking the horses over to eat grass and then to the cement to drink water.
September 21, 2008 – Noah is getting his first driving lesson in a muscle car. Andy is making sure to teach the kids early on the importance of respecting a classic car.

September 21, 2008 – MaKayla is trying on her hat and mittens that she got for her birthday. I think I will put them up until winter so she doesn’t go around wearing them all the time like she did in the spring.

September 22, 2008 – I have had some requests for a picture of Chewie. Well, here he is with his lion cut.

Happy 2nd Birthday MaKayla!

Where has the time gone? It does not seem possible that we are celebrating MaKayla’s 2nd birthday already. It seems like just yesterday that we were trying to get pregnant. Time really does fly by!!! Happy birthday sweetheart, we love you very much!!!!!!!!!!!! September 20, 2008 - MaKayla had a cold on her birthday but she still had a wonderful party! We started the day with a visit from the birthday fairy. The fairy left a trail of my little ponies from MaKayla’s bedroom to the living room where a little kitchen awaited her.
MaKayla loves Dora the Explorer so that was the theme of this years birthday party. Here is her cake
The birthday girl!
MaKayla was very spoiled with presents. Here she is on her first bicycle.
Here she is on a scooter. I see some battles in the future with getting her to come inside after playing!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Morse!

Andy’s fraternity brother Patrick married his sweetheart Kim on September 13th. It was supposed to be an outdoor wedding but it poured buckets all day long! Good thing they had a back up plan. The wedding was held at the reception hall at the Hilton Gardens Inn and it was beautiful. Patrick’s Mom handled all the flowers for the wedding and it was gorgeous. I have never seen so many roses in all my life! Grandma Morris watched the kids so we had the whole day and evening to ourselves, it was fabulous!!! Andy was a groomsman in Pat and Kim’s wedding. Pat and Kim thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

Pony Tails!

September 4, 2008 – MaKayla has always been very loving to her brother Noah. Here she is giving him a BIG hug!

September 8, 2008 – MaKayla decided to lay with Noah and teach him how to play. Of course I had to take a picture.
September 8, 2008 – Daddy joined in on the fun!
September 9, 2008 – I begged for Andy to take a picture of Noah and I together. Being the picture taker you don’t get to be on the other side of the camera very often!
September 11, 2008 – While MaKayla ate her favorite lunch of grilled cheese I took the opportunity of her sitting still. My attempt at pony tails finally paid off, YEAH!!!
September 11, 2008 – She looks so grown up to me with her little pony tails. It is so nice to get the hair out of her eyes. I sure am glad that I stuck to my guns and didn’t cut her hair. Andy threatened to do it himself because he was sick of her hair in her face.

Labor Day Weekend!

Labor Day weekend we went to my parents cabin Up North in Minnocqua, WI. We had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful! The lake was a tad bit chilly but that didn’t stop MaKayla, Andy and Joe from swimming. Brrr, not me! MaKayla took quite a liking to Joe. She woke up in the middle of the night and asked, “Joe at?” It was too cute! August 30, 2008 - Joe, MaKayla and Laura enjoying the outdoors.
Andy with Noah & Papa with MaKayla enjoying the camp fire.
What a handsome boy!

A visit with Mike & Rylee

Andy’s brother Mike and his daughter Rylee stayed with us for a week. They were able to make the trip from Texas to be here for Vickie’s wedding. It was a pleasure to have them stay with us. Mike recently returned from Iraq and it has been two years since we have seen him and Rylee. This was our second time seeing our niece. It is hard to have family so far away! We were all able to celebrate Rylee’s 3rd birthday while she was here which was nice. August 24, 2008 - Rylee and MaKayla playing together.

Becky's Baby Shower!

August 24, 2008 - I had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for my dear friend Becky. We grew close partially because of everything that the two of have been through trying to bring babies into this world. Becky is a very strong and courageous young woman whom I admire! Becky I am so happy to celebrate this time with you and cannot wait to meet your daughter! In planning Becky’s shower, I started making these diaper cakes and cute diaper animals. I have decided to try and sell them. I would appreciate in suggestions in a business name. You can either email me at designbyink@yahoo.com or leave a comment. If you are interested in purchasing a diaper animal or cake please email me at the above address.
Here are some more of my creations.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Nick Sughroue

Andy’s youngest sister Vickie married her soul mate Nick on August 23, 2008. It was a beautiful wedding. Vickie was a beautiful bride and Nick a handsome groom. Andy was a groomsmen and MaKayla was a flower girl. Welcome to the Morris family Nick! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! We are so happy for the two of you!
Here is a picture of the four of us at the reception.
