Our Lil' Princess MaKayla Turned One!

Here ye, Here ye
Our Lil’ Princess MaKayla Turned One

MaKayla's big PRINCESS BIRTHDAY Party was on Saturday, September 22nd. I just had to dress MaKayla up as a Little Princess to match her Princess Theme birthday party. I found this cute little tutu when I was in Las Vegas and just couldn’t pass it up. Isn’t she just adorable?
Papa and Nana gave her this Dora the Explorer push tike. It was too big to wrap so as soon as they brought it in and set it on the floor she started pushing buttons. Papa and Nana took it out of the box right away so she could play with it.
One big happy family!
She sure is the cutest lil’ princess I have ever seen!
MaKayla was spoiled with lots of love and presents!

Grandma Sue has been working hard throughout the year making this very special Precious Moments Quilt. It turned out just beautiful! MaKayla will come to appreciate all the hard work that went into making this quilt with love.
The Little Princess all decked out and waiting for her cake to be served to her.
Another family photo, sorry I just couldn’t resist.
Yummy, yummy, yummy! I have my Momma’s sweet tooth!
Sweet kisses for Daddy! Actually she ended up biting his lip and not letting go for awhile. "That’s what you get for trying to steal some of my cake Daddy."
The birthday girl crashed out after a day full of activities. Andy and I went to check in on her and noticed that her quilt that Grandma Sue made for her birthday was in the crib. Hmm, I think that a certain Grandma fairy sneaked in the room. MaKayla will definitely treasure this very special quilt for years to come.
Sunday, September 23rd, we had to take a test drive outside and enjoy the Indian summer that is here. Grandma Baker gave her this Winnie the Pooh little tike. The propeller even goes around, too cute!
Here is the Dora the Explorer little tike that Papa and Nana Masterson gave her. She decided to get off and push it for awhile. It is easier pushing it down the driveway. Coming back up is a bit more of a challenge.
Monday, September 24th, Tati had a little birthday celebration at her house for MaKayla. The house was decked out with streamers, balloons and a sign on the door. The kids baked the cake in the morning. The plans were to decorate the cake when the rest of the kids arrived in the afternoon and enjoy the fruits of their labor. When I went for a visit at lunch I asked if I could take a picture since I wouldn’t be there in the afternoon. So, we got the cake out and I started snapping away and my Lil’ Princess decided that the cake looked too yummy to just be sitting there and decided to help herself. The little stinker kept eating it while I took pictures. Opps, so there will be some cake missing when the kids decorate it. Hmm, I wonder where MaKayla gets that from? Tati is such a great daycare provider and has become like a member of our family. God has blessed us with her, Joseph, Sarah and Sean and we are so happy that they are a apart of MaKayla’s life. They did come to our family celebration at our house on Saturday and our families couldn’t say enough good things about Tati and her family after they left. Thank you Tati, Joseph, Sarah and Sean for all that you do!
Okay, I think we have had enough cake for one week! =)

MaKayla is definitely the most adorable little princess I have ever seen! I think it's histerical that she already has such a sweet tooth. I especially like the last picture - she looks a lot like her mommy in it - and not just because she's eating cake! :)
