4K Open House

August 30, 2011 - MaKayla had her open house for her 4K class. Our school district has a 4k program which I love. This year she will be going to the YMCA 4K afternoon program. That gives me one more year before we have to retrain our sleeping habits to become morning people.
She was so excited to check out the bus because she will be riding one to and from school.

MaKayla's 1st Day of Soccar Practice

August 29, 2011 - MaKayla's wanted to try soccer over the summer with her friend Emma. We let her decide between swim and soccer and she choose soccer.
Of course she had to be all decked out in pink!

She does fine with drills but is intimidated when having to defend the ball.

Bay Beach

August 29, 2011 - It was a beautiful day so I decided to take the kids to Bay Beach. We had a wonderful time. Noah choose this tiny horse to ride on.
MaKayla of course picked a pink horse.

Hmm, back-to-back = no fighting. How can I incorporate his strategy at home?

August 28, 2011 - Noah and Coco are watching cartoons together in the morning. She peed on his favorite blankey. It was so cute when I heard Noah tell Coco, "It's okay, it was an accident. My Mommy will wash it." How adorable!

Coco the Guinea Pig

August 26, 2011 - Noah earned Coco the guinea pig by being dry an entire day with no accidents!! Way to go handsome boy! I knew you could do it!!
My friend and neighbor Nikki had Coco and Noah loved going over to her house and sit with her outside. My friend offered Coco to Noah. Daddy made him a deal that if we were to go potty in the big boy potty and stay dry that he could earn Coco and bring her home. Well it only took him three days once the deal was made. The first day there were lots of accidents. The second day only two. The third day he was completely dry all day long. Daddy was away on business so Noah wanted to call him before bed and tell him the news. The next day we went and picked up Coco. Coco is super sweet and just sits there for the kids. She loves to sit outside and eat grass. Noah is so proud of himself and of his new pet!

Noah is very gentle with Coco and does very well with her.

I have to admit she is pretty dang cute!

August 25, 2011 - Noah told me he was a big boy and didn't need my help this morning. He picked out his clothes and got dressed all by himself. It is fun watching them grow and learn independence but sad at the same time.

August 12, 2011 - We headed Up North to enjoy some time with just the four of us. We were greeted by a fawn right before pulling into the cabin.

August 14, 2011 - Before heading home we had to visit MaKayla's favorite place: the horse stable! She takes her job of feeding the horses very seriously. This time we brought some sliced apples for the horses as a treat but they didn't last long.

Noah likes the horses but he likes the go-karts a lot better!

August 10, 2011 - Logan, Noah and MaKayla at the train park. Can you tell that the train is passing by?
MaKayla asked if she could take some pictures with my camera. I think she is following in my footsteps!! She does a really good job. She focuses and take the pictures all on her own. He is a photo she took of Nana and I.

She got a little picture happy and started taking random photos of people we didn't know, garbage cans, bushes, Papa's butt and my butt (I will spare you of these!)
