Abigail Louise was born on April 17, 2009. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 8ozs. and was 18 1/2 inches long. I haven't had the opportunity to meet my newest niece yet but am looking forward to it! If only we didn't live so far apart! I am biased but I think she is as cute as a button! Abigail's middle name Louise was given to her after our grandmother, which I think is very sweet! With Abigail's addition we now have 3 nieces and 5 nephews. All four sisters had a baby in one calendar year. An effort that I don't think will be repeated!! Our family is really growing!

Open House, Open House & Another Open House
April 19, 2009 - Having your house on the market is no cup of tea that is for sure! Having Andy gone during the week, taking care of the kids, trying to start a new career and then add in keeping the house up for showings and open houses. Yikes, I could scream sometimes. Just ask Andy I have or crying is more like it. This has been a very stressful time for our family but I know that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. So, where to you take two hungry energy filled kids when you can't go home? To McDonald's, the lunch of champions! MaKayla ended up crying in the play equipment and was scared to go down the slide. Daddy ran in for the rescue with Noah in tow for the fun. The three of them ended up having a blast as you can see from the pictures. Glad it was him and not me!

Hometown Visit with Family & Friends!
April 18, 2009 - I went to my hometown to visit with my Mom and Grandma. We ate at my favorite place Arthur's Garden Deli. It was soooooooo good!!! Then we went to the park to enjoy some time together.
Here are MaKayla and Noah with Grandma.
Grandma had a really good day and even enjoyed herself on the swing. It was good to see her like this!
After that visit we went to a surprise 50th Birthday party for Pastor Don from my home church. It was so nice to see him and a lot of my friends!
Of course, the day would not have been complete without seeing my best friend Nikki! I cannot believe it has been so long since we have seen each other. This was her first time seeing Noah. Time flies and we have busy lives but when we get together it is like we have never missed a beat.

MaKayla's 2 1/2 Year Checkup
April 16, 2009 - Our little girl seems to have turned into a big girl overnight! She was very intrigued at the doctors visit and wanted to help the nurse. We have a very good nurse who let MaKayla use the blood pressure cuff and little to her own heart with the stethoscope. MaKayla was very cooperative and was excited to pick out her sticker for being a good patient! She weighed 27 pounds 4 ounces (25th percentile) and was 34 3/4 inches long (50th percentile). Growing bigger everyday

Easter 2009
April 11, 2009 - This was MaKayla's first year coloring Easter eggs and she had a blast! She did really well and needed very little assistance. We did end up having one mishap with red coloring. It ended up spilling all over. This table and chair set is pretty much indestructible and withstood the spill. MaKayla did so well at coloring the eggs that she turned her hands a lovely shade of bluish green that made for an interesting addition to her Easter ensemble.
April 12, 2009 -It was a beautiful Easter! Sunny with just a bit of chill in the air! A perfect day for reflecting on the greatest gift Christ gave to us, dying on the cross for our sins! The only down side of the day was that our family was under the weather. Both of the kids were sick and Andy came down with the same flu bug in the morning. He was miserable throughout the day!

Surprise!! Happy Birthday!!!
April 1, 2009 - With Andy up in Appleton, WI during the week we have not seen him a whole lot lately. We didn't want him to spend his birthday all alone in an apartment so we decided to bake cookies for the employees and surprise Daddy at work. Boy, was he surprised!!!
MaKayla ran to him with a handful of balloons. Daddy was excited. She even made him a card and picked out her own little present for him. It was a little toy figure horse in a box. She was so proud to give it to him!
Here is Daddy and Noah in his office. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I didn't realize that when I asked them to sing for him that he would end up on a saddle swinging a napkin. He was embarrassed but MaKayla loved it!
Our gift to Daddy was a flight lesson. He has always talked about wanting to learn to fly so I thought this was the perfect gift. When he came home for the weekend we made a trip out to the Poplar Grove airport for his first lesson.
Here he is next to the plane he flew. I was very impressed with the amount of training he received for an introductory lesson. Especially for the low price that I paid! Now, the problem is topping this gift in the future. I will have to be creative =). I would recommend it even this to anyone who is interested in planes.
