Noah was dedicated to the Lord at Heartland Community Church on March 15, 2009 by Pastor Doug Thiesen. Family and friends gathered for the celebration at the church and then the celebration continued at our house afterwards. Pastor translates each child's name into what it means in biblical scripture. Noah's name means, "Follows God with Strength and Confidence." "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) We lift up our children to the Lord and pray that we raise them in the best of our Godly ability to walk in his light and make make the ultimate decision to become Christ followers when they get older. We look forward to the day that they make the decision and become baptized and we can celebrate their walk with Christ Jesus!

Clapping & Escaping!
March 10, 2009 - I couldn't resist posting this picture of Noah & Ike. Noah adores Ike and loves to steal his bones from him.
A couple of milestones. Noah has been clapping his hands for awhile now. Here is a picture that I took of him on March 12th.
On March 13, I found Noah in the middle of his room crying after his morning nap. What do I do, I put him back in his bed to see how he escaped. He literally barrels himself out head first. Of course I stopped him before he made a second escape. Needless to say, I had to lower the bed that day. What a little stinker!

Silver Beaver Award
We attended the Annual Adult Leader & Youth Recognition Banquet for the Blackhawk Area Council Boy Scouts of America on March 8, 2009. We celebrated as Sue (Andy's Mom) received the Silver Beaver Award. "The Silver Beaver Award is the highest Honor the Blackhawk Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, can bestow upon a volunteer Scouter in recognition of distinguished service to youth." (quoted from the handbook). She has volunteered from 1983-present in a different array of capacities. We are so proud of her! Way to go Sue "Mom"!

9 Months Old
Noah had his 9 month check up with Dr. Baptist on May 3, 2009. He weighed in at 20 lbs. 12 oz. (50th percentile) and was 28 inches long (25-50th percentile). MaKayla at nine months was 18 lbs. 1 oz. (25-50%) and her length was 27 1/4 inches long (25-50%). Let me tell you 2 lbs. 11oz. makes a big difference. He does not where the same size clothes that his sister did at the same age. It is amazing how different your children can be in size and personalities. I love how difference they each are!
Here are some of Noah's 9 month photos from JC Penny's.
