Mulberry Lane Farm

October 23, 2011 - I took the kids to Mulberry Lane Farm. It is an actual farm that is set up with tours and lots of hands on experience. Noah is on a horse ride.
MaKayla loves to go horse back riding!

The kids learned about milk and even were given the opportunity to milk a cow. MaKayla was very intrigued and caught quickly!

Noah had absolutely no interest in touching the utter! He was content just to watch.

The kids loved the baby piglets.

The little runt was the cutest!

Noah didn't want to leave the piglets.

On a hay ride

Noah loved the chickens and wanted to pet each and every one!

MaKayla on the other hand had no desire to pet the chickens.

Half way through our tour it started to rain.

We stood under a shelter with the goats until the rain let up some.

The goats nibbled on our clothes while we hung with them.

Otis the hog is about 1,500 lbs

MaKayla asked me what was hanging in the back of Otis. The lady made something up and diverted her attention to something else.

MaKayla loved the kittens. We even saw the Mommy bring the kittens a dead mouse to eat.

After the tour, we were allowed to go back and visit any of the stations that we wished to. MaKayla wanted to go back and milk the cow again.

Noah just wanted to pet the cow.

The perfect photo opportunity.

They actually cooperated!

Our two cutie pies!

MaKayla didn't want to leave the cow.

At the end, we got to go in the pumpkin field and pick out pumpkins. Noah picked out his pumpkin right away.

MaKayla walked across the field by herself in search of the perfect pumpkin. She came back carrying her prized pumpkin. She told me, "my pumpkin is really heavy". It was cute to watch her accomplish the task all on her own!

MaKayla decided she needed a baby pumpkin to go with her big pumpkin. Admission was $11 per person and included a pumpkin of your choice. I have to say it was quite a deal and we will have to go back again next year!
In the evening, we decided to let Coco and Honey go swimming in the bathtub. We adopted them from a sanctuary but they are not doing well with leaving with kids. My nanny has fallen in love with them so they are going to live with her. It was fun to watch them swim. It was the first time I heard them squeak and have fun.
