November 4, 2011 - Today was a beautiful day. I took the kids to
Hofacker's Hillside Orchard to pick apples. I always make apple pies for Thanksgiving so I thought it would be fun to pick our own apples this year.
We picked Red Delicious and
Greenies. The kids had a blast and I didn't want to stop picking.
This is the same orchard that we came to for
MaKayla's school field trip. It rained that day so we did not get a lot of time to pick apples. Today there were clear skies and just a slight chill in the air. It was a perfect apple picking day!

The kids picked 20 # of apples for $11.00, I thought that was a pretty good deal!
