Labor Day Weekend 2009

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend Up North at my parent's cottage. Sept. 5, 2009 - I just couldn't resist taking this picture of Noah napping. Within the first hour of our arrival, Noah fell down the stairs and bonked his head. MaKayla walked backwards off the dock and fell into the water. Daddy was right there thank God and saved her. She was quite frightened. The two of them had a very long talk about the water. She is now not allowed to go anywhere near the water without a life vest on!

Sept. 6, 2009 - We spent much of the day down at the lake. Here is MaKayla in her Princess Life Vest.

A Break Through!

September 3, 2009 - I am so excited, MaKayla has finally pooped on the potty. You know you are a Mom when you get excited about poop! This is a big break through!!! We celebrated with the Belle gown.

Noah mastered the art of eating sweet corn on the same day. Milestones are wonderful! Okay, if you live in the mid-west eating sweet corn is in your blood.

August 28, 2009 - MaKayla finally went tinkle at home, YEAH! It took much coaching but she has finally done it!

Nail Mishap

August 22, 2009 - The shed project is coming along. Andy has started to build the walls.

There was a slight hiccup in the day when Andy accidentally ran a nail all the way through his finger. He pulled it out instantly and insisted that I get something to clean it so he could get back to work. I cleaned it the best I could, wrapped it up and sent him on his way. All I can say is that he is one strong man!

Here is MaKayla helping Daddy. She is in charge of safety inspection to ensure that another nail incident doesn't happen again.

August 18, 2009 - Aunt Katie and Patrick came for a visit. Here is a picture of Aunt Katie and Noah together. I didn't get a picture of it but Aunt Katie and MaKayla practiced ballet together.

A Big Milestone!!!

August 5, 2009 - MaKayla went tinkle on the potty for the very first time, YEAH! Of course it had to be at the babysitter's house and not at home. Oh well! We celebrated by going to Toys R Us and letting her pick out a toy as we have been promising for quite some time now. She picked out a Princess dress up kit.
She certainly is a beautiful Princess!
