Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2010 - Our neighbor invited us over to see her little kittens that she is fostering. MaKayla loved cuddling them. When they started to climb up her with their little claws she would get nervous and ask me to take them.
Andy's bought a Cyclone leaf sucker upper (at least that is what I call it). I teased him about buying a new toy but I have to say it was worth the purchase. It cut down our raking time to zero. It sucks up every last leaf, it is wonderful and so fast!
Leafs don't stand a chance against Andy now!!!
Tinkerbell and Superman are ready to hit the streets trick-or-treating!
Tinkerbell is striking a pose!
Superman is showing off his BIG MUSCLES!!!
It was a beautiful Halloween for trick-or-treating. It was much warmer than last year.
MaKayla and Noah are running up to the first door! Noah really got in to it this year! It was fun watching both of them running from door to door. Well, actually they would climb back in the wagon for Daddy to pull them to the next driveway and then get out and run.
Our neighbor Bev (aka The Candy Lady) is giving candy to the kids like she does on a daily basis.
Our neighbor walked with us. This is her son Elli the hamburger.
Ready for more candy!
Noah got tired of walking and so Daddy gave him a ride. Noah kept holding on to Daddy's head and covering up his eyes while he was trying to walk.
Emma and MaKayla in the wagon.
After going through the neighborhood we went to the "Truck-or-Treat" at our church. By this time the sun was down and it was bitter cold!!! The snowmobile caught Noah's eye instantly and ran over to sit on it. Like father like son!
Noah is ready to save the day on this four wheeler!
MaKayla liked the car with all the horses!
When we returned home Noah had to inspect all his candy. Of course there were a few taste test just to be sure it was okay.
My little super hero!
My tired fairy!
Not too tired to check out her goodies!

Pumpkin Carving

October 28, 2010 - Daddy & MaKayla are warming up by the fire!
We love our fireplace. Andy has us well stocked for the winter! We plan on supplementing the heat for our home with our fireplace.
October 29, 2010 - Noah was able to really experience pumpkin carving first hand for the first time. He wasn't sure of the goo at first!
MaKayla is a pro at it now!
Noah got the hang of it pretty quickly!
Hard at work!

Daddy is helping MaKayla carve her pumpkin.
I am helping Noah.
She only needed a little assistance.
Noah had a lot of fun!
MaKayla's finished pumpkin!
Grandma Morris sent this skeleton potato head pieces for a pumpkin. I let Noah decorate mine.
The order from left to right: Daddy, MaKayla, Noah and mine

The kids were proud of their creations!

Halloween Dance

October 26, 2010 - MaKayla had her Halloween Dance performance tonight. Each of the kids were allowed to wear their Halloween costumes and performed a Halloween dance for the parents. She did wonderful! It is so much fun to see her dancing skill grow and her abilities get better.
Our little fairy! I know she was a fairy last year but she wanted to be a fairy again this year.
She is getting really good and pointing her toes!

More fun in the leaves!

October 18, 2010 - MaKayla and Noah were invited over to their friend Emma's house to play in the leaves. It was a beautiful brisk Autumn day!
They had a blast together!

Craft Time!

October 17, 2010 - MaKayla wanted to paint and decorate a keep sake box for Grandma Morris's birthday present. She has taken after me and the love of crafts. I took her to Michael's and she picked out the box, paint and decorations all on her own. It was cute to watch her creative side come out.
She is being careful and not getting paint everywhere!\
She would not let me help her.
October 18, 2010 - Noah painted a bird house for Grandpa Morris's birthday present. He picked out the brightest red he could find.
He did a great job painting every little bit of wood!
He was careful not to get any on his hands.
After painting, Noah layed down to take a nap. Chewie was taking a nap in his bed with him but it was short lived.
MaKayla decided she needed to make Great Grandpa a box to keep his "good luck charm" in. Great Grandpa gave MaKayla a matching "good luck charm" to his for her birthday. When ever Great Grandpa looks at his "good luck charm" he will think of MaKayla and visa versa. We keep MaKayla's in a little treasure box in my room so it does not get lost. Every day MaKayla comes up to our room and take her "good luck charm" out of her box and puts it up to her heart and says a little prayer like, "Great Grandpa you are so special in my heart! I love you!" Once again, we we went to Michael's to find a box. She wanted to stain this one to match hers.
I should have taken pictures of the finish art projects that MaKayla and Noah completed but somehow I forgot!
